I got smashed from behind at a red light by a F-350 in 2001. I tried physical therapy, acupuncture, nerve blocks and chiropractor with little relief. I have my neck surgery with Dr. Z and since then I have had nothing but success since having had my procedure on my cervical spine in Jan of 2013. I was living with both pain and numbness and I was starting to lose strength in my left hand. Since my procedure, it worked for about 2 years, now back where I started.

They had me come to Tampa (had to fly). They went off a recent MRI and told me they could help. Once I got there then they actually looked at it. Then said they could not do surgery. I was out about $4000 to find that out. That would have been fine if they couldn’t do surgery but they said they looked at my MRI and said they could on phone.

We are now having a similar experience to Amy Grante. My husband has been talking to an 'intake' person who has no medical experience at all but is just a sales person trying to get my husband to go in to be evaluated. In the meantime, my husband agreed to give them $250.and when I saw that charge and called the sales person, he told me that the $250 was 'for the nurses to get the paperwork going"! I asked "What nurses? He hasn't even been seen yet and nothing at all has been scheduled!" I am demanding our money back and negotiations are on-going. They informed my husband that there would be a $13,500 charge not covered by Medicare. When I asked the sales person why, he said it was a "facilities charge". Stay away from this place. It is a scam for unsuspecting and gullible people.

What a wonderful place with wonderful staff!! We were there a week for my moms surgery on her back. Every single person we can into contact with was wonderful!!! Literally the nicest group of ppl I have ever met! I work in the medical field and was shocked with this facility. The place itself was sooo up to date and inviting. Very much happy with the experience and staff!

When I called and spoke to some sales lady in Tampa, I told her I was interested in speaking to a Surgeon. After several minutes of her fact finding mission, she convinced me to send in my MRI for a free review. I asked to speak to a surgeon to discuss my degenerated discs, I was then called by a chiropractor, not a surgeon, who said I should come in for an evaluation that could take 2-3 days, and possible surgery 2- days later. My 1st thought was, why in the world would it take so long to determine if my back was ready for surgery. I asked around and found out that one of colleague's friend drove all the way to Tampa, just to be told he was not a candidate for surgery. Apparently his MRI report was reviewed by some representative with absolutely no medical experience. Another person had surgery there I found out and she had a huge back bill of almost $10,000 that she keeps fighting Laser Spine Institute about. There are hundreds of great neurosurgeons who perform minimally invasive spine surgery. Be an intelligent patient, and find a good local surgeon and don't be sold a bill of cheap goods that could costs you thousands of dollars with no results. Many on line complaints. Read for yourself.
