It is a nice spoons, with a good range of drinks and fairly comfy. It was a little small, but we were able to find a table and order easily. The spoons app did not recognize the table we were sat at so did have to go and order at the bar though

Older hotel in great location. Bathroom could be cleaner (with little help od bleach). Lovely staff. Great size of room (luxury double) with very comfy bed.

Very central, close to stations, shops and cathedral. Small but comfortable and well-equipped ensuite rooms with direct access from hotel to pub for breakfast and dinner. Very good value for money.

Well equipped rooms in a good location. Close to the train station and restaurants. Staff very welcoming. Excellent breakfast available in the Weatherspoons below. One star lost due to the noise from extractor fans that are on until late at night then back on again early in the morning.

Briar Rose very quickly became a staple of evenings after long days in university. Whetherspoons food and drink are near enough all the same so nothing different to comment here. But the vibe is good here, nice and chilled during the daytime and when the evenings come it becomes a hive of a whole swathe of Birmingham life. It can be difficult to get a table after 5 on a Friday or Saturday though.
