Sunday Roast is quite depressing. Though I do understand that it is usually a microwaved already-prep roast, the quality of its Sunday Roast turned for the worse. Quite disappointing as I used to come here often but now I need to find another pub for my roast.

After a busy morning without much to drink I stopped here after a meeting for a drink and a bowl of fries as it was almost lunch time.. The hot drink was large and good but it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Fortunately I wasn't in a hurry, the weather was nice and I was sitting outside with a good magazine so I didn't mind. People at other tables however, were going in and out of the pub to chase their food. One table had to get the food wrapped as it took so long their lunch hour was up. I certainly wouldn't go here again, unless I was thirsty, the weather was good and I had a magazine!

Mark is a fabulous host and bends over backwards to ensure his guests are well fed and watered. Lovely atmosphere, fascinating building (used to be a cinema, don't you know) and friendly staff. Looking forward to some more lunches there soon!

Lovely pub, used to visit as a student 25+ yrs ago - revisited recently a couple of times - it's improved - friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, cheap food and delicious beer
