A big bar with food, pool/billiards and booze right onsite, with good accommodations. Good location and lots of local info with helpful staff. Perfect hostel.

Alright let's start with the good: Really comfy beds, generally modern and clean.
On to the bad: I hated the layout of my room, a mixed dorm with 10 beds. The sinks are in the room, and I came to the room pretty late on both nights I stayed there. That meant I had to either turn on the lights and wake everyone or sneak wash in the dark (which I did). Also, for some reason the fire alarm went off in the first night around 4 am, but stopped just as everyone was awake and starting to get dressed.

The room was nice with showers and bathroom ensuite. 12 beds. Staff was nice, check In took almost an hour. The line was big but they made you fill out unnecessary forms IMO that made the process take much longer. Overall it was fine and not super expensive.

The rooms have about 6 beds each with a locker for each bed. You can purchase a lock for 3.50. they have large per-day luggage locker rentals as well. Staff are OK, location is great. It has a nice bar and resrsur attached. Price is solid

Great place to stay. Awesome receptionists. It was my first stay in Edinburgh, so I ended up asking the receptionists for information. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Particularly, one Indian receptionist who was very helpful and had an amazing sense of humour helped me find my way around the city. 10/10 would come again.
