Happy to have come across BodyWorks... I spent years wasting time in gyms. Never really knowing what to actually do, got on a treadmill for a while, and then went home.

BodyWorks has everything you can wish for (well apart from a swimming pool, which used to rank highly on my radar), but the emphasis is on free weights, strength training type equipment. Also rather uniquely there is a full size boxing ring and a collection of punch bags.

But most importantly BodyWorks has Alex, a fountain of knowledge when it comes to training and advice. Approachable and friendly, he can help no matter what your fitness goals are.

Whilst there is an impressive collection of kit, BodyWorks still managed to have placed everything in such a manner that that is plenty of room to manoeuvre and work out without bumping into others, even at peak times.

Add to that 24/7 opening times and a shop full of interesting goodies... you've just gotta check it out!

I am the owner and operator of Bodyworks, so this review will obviously be pretty subjective and biased. But most reviews are, aren't they? But it doesn't make this review any less valid or true.

Bodyworks is a gym with a real buzz. Old school, yet modern. Loads of character, atmospheric, energetic. A very well equipped, beautifully organised, no nonsense gym. I promise you.
