Historic water powered workshop staffed by volunteers. Be sure to check opening times before visiting.

Staff can explain the history of the site which is an example of many that used to line the city's rivers in the pre-coal era. They also arrange demonstrations of steel working using the grinding wheels.

You can also walk around to the small courtyard at the rear and see the water wheel in action when the site is open.
