In an exclusive and discrete location The Roby offers exactly what you would expect from your local boozer and more. You have three different rooms to choose from so you will never have to be worried about overcrowding and each room is carefully designed to uphold an antique style which is very unique in this day and age and gives the building its character.

With the smell of urine guiding you to any one of its three bathroom facilities you can be sure that you will never get caught short when its time to drain the dragon. At the pool table is where you will find most of the regulars from age 20 to late 60's you can be sure to find a mixture of modern and classic banter.

The beer garden is really where The Roby comes into its own league. I found it to be such a new, interesting and unique experience to step foot in a beer "garden" which doesn't contain one single blade of grass. Green plastic chairs occupy two wooden tables. Some of the chairs automatically recline when leaning back on them making it a more comfortable experience when relaxing in the sun.

Ontop of the excitement of watching your favourite sporting events. watching them in The Roby the excitement can only doubled due to the fact its always a gamble weather or not they can find the cannel. Even if the gamble pays off and they are able to find the cannel you are still always in suspense incase the signal gets lost somewhere in the middle of the event which i found to be thrilling and benefits the experience. Even if my team looses i count myself lucky that i was able two watch the match in the first place.

Overall i give this place a well deserved (if not underrated) 5/5 rating

ciggy stumps on the step,toilets stunk,no loo roll.barmaid busy chatting,not happy being disturbed.lager was awful,place was cold ,no atmosphere at all 4 people in the whole of the place,went to view for a party,but no thanks.
