Front desk staff are great. Female vet was way better than the male vet.

I've had mixed experiences with this place.

1. I had a cat who was vomiting for no apparent reason. They kept him over the weekend for observation but the doctor was not in when I dropped him off so I was told to call back later that day for a diagnosis. I did and was told "I don't know". Called again and again over the course of the weekend and each time was told "I don't know". Picked him up the following Monday and he was fine, but being told "I don't know", no matter how politely, is really unhelpful and does nothing to ease a pet owner's stress.

2. Brought a kitten in for a spay and they glued the incision so unevenly that the kitten's nipples were misaligned. Now, I know this is purely aesthetic. The whole point of the spay is so that the kitten will never have a use for her nipples. And once the fur grows back it all covers it anyway. But I think it says something about how little care or thought the doctor put into the job.

3. A kitten suddenly had a swollen eye and runny nose. Was told by this vet that she had a chest infection. She was given eye cream and some oral meds. She suffered and only got worse over the course of a week. Brought her to another vet, was given a different diagnosis and medication, and was immediately better.

4. This was a very positive experience. My kitten had an accident with her collar and I brought her in bloodied, face swollen and scratched up. I was overtly upset coming in and the vet assistant was very sympathetic and did a good job ensuring me my kitten was going to be ok. Picked her up at the end of the day and she was cleaned and seemed happy. Also paid a much lower fee than I expected given the condition she was in and the meds she needed for her swollen face.

5. I've been in many times for regular check ups and every time my cats are handled gently, all questions answered, and all concerns addressed. This clinic charges much less for shots and check ups than other clinics I've been to.

Can't say enough good things about this clinic. My cat has kidney disease she is 13 years old and I took her to island vet to diagnose the problem, cost me 700 for x-ray blood work etc. To treat my cat from 845 to 630 the next day I was quoted 600$and then transfer her to 24 hr facility for up to 1000$ for 24hrs. Killarney quoted me 691 for 3 days of a kidney flush, included food antibiotics etc everything for this service. I picked my cat up today I had to buy some more kidney medicine for future use but they didn't charge me one cent more than what they quoted. Great experience if it wasn't for here I'd have put my cat down. She responded great to the treatment.

Our dog Buster had tumor the sized of a tennis ball.

After a debating it for awhile we finally decided to get the tumor removed, as we saw he was in pain.

We went to a Richmond Vet and considering our dogs age (10), they billed us @ 2200 and told us there was no guarantee of the success of his surgery because of his age. A friend recommended us to here.

In the end they charged us 800$ and Buster is doing well now.

Would definitely recommend.

Really great vets here. We've probably been to the most of the vets in Vancouver, but these guys have are a pleasant surprise. They don't overcharge for unnecessary procedures, which is a big pro. Good front desk team too.
