The food is amazing,the decor is great, but the owner is a greedy joker who puts pint prices up by 25% after 8pm, and insists on making people pay for meals in order to sit down and watch a football match.. The staff are rude, especially the gormless twins who man the bar, and the way the staff who actually DO their jobs are treated (having witnessed it first hand one match day) is ridiculous.
I was even told that the owner takes 25% of staff tips before they are even divided out.
DO NOT GO THERE, and if you do...DO NOT TIP...you're just making the rich richer and the staff you actually give it to don't see most of it!

I realise this place has had mixed reviews in the past but it definately deserves a second chance. I went in there for a 3 course meal and it was probably the best food ive had in a long time. I believe they have a new chef and it shows, the lamb skewers are fantastic as is the steak and cheesecake. The girl who served us was very friendly and attentive so i can't fault anything. It upsets me to see the place empty when the yates next door might be a bit cheaper but the service and food is atrocious. The manageress was also very friendly and pleasant
