The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, we never ate in the restaurant but breakfast was also fine nothing spectacular. However the coffee at breakfast is awful, Nescafe machines which somehow make something that tastes worse than instant. The other downside is the traffic noise which starts early and ends late, if you're a light sleeper or want to relax its not good at all. On the upside it's a short walk from St. Zenos and from there into the centre of Verona.

No restaurant in the hotel. Shower was broken and awkward. It was an okay stay.

Loved this place! Great outdoor pool and HEATED INDOOR POOL and jacuzzi and fitness center and lobby. Our room was luxurious (ours had a jacuzzi) with a balcony overlooking the pool, with a large bed, safe (which we didn't use), small refrigerator, hair dryer, bathroom with bidet and makeup mirror and sink. Desk staff was friendly and affable. A big plus of the San Marco is its location to the heart of Verona (an interesting city with much history) plus being a block or two away from a laundry (lavanderia in Italian), a supermarket, shops and restaurants. The downtown #11 bus is right across the street. Highly recommended!!!

This is a really lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and excellent customer service. The Gluten free breakfast was brilliant and although they did not have a restaurant for dinner, the staff called a nearby pizzeria and ensured that i would be able to eat there. On the last night (a Sunday) we booked the spa. You get 2 hours and we were the only people in there. The facilities were clean, it was well equipped and excellent value for money compared with my local Spa in the UK. The hotel does have limited parking for a fee but we were able to park on the street just outside the hotel for free.
The only advice I would give about this hotel is that it is located just outside the city of Verona. It is apparently walk-able but the staff advised the local bus which goes from just outside the hotel. It takes about 20 minutes to get into Verona on the bus and it is better to get tickets in bulk from a Tobacconist rather than buying on the bus as it is much cheaper that way. We chose this rather than driving as there is limited parking in the city.

Good value. Free parking on the other side of the street. Very knowledgable and helpful receptionist.
