Enjoy our duck two ways here but got a little lost trying to find it. More walking around the hutong made it fun though. Friendly, welcoming and a little English spoken. Boldly going where Anthony Bourdain has been.

We were lucky as did not have to wait. Staff explained best options and they were 100% correct. Best meal we've had in Beijing. Highly recommend.

A famous but hidden hole-in-the-wall restaurant that focuses on signature Duck dishes. The mu shu (wrapped in crepes) is excellent. Even better is their 'bones' dish--these are left over bits, deep-fried and seasoned. It doesn't look very appetizing, but its very tasy (the basic salt and pepper seasoning was great). The place is old and run down, but people line up for the food. It's worth the wait.

The place is indeed hidden and the duck is indeed delicious. In winter it can be a bit cold, but if you manage to get one of the private room for you group of friends you'll do fine. Cheap and great food.
